How to Make Sure Your Blog is Ready for Visitors
The cold hard truth about blogging is that it is the preferred method for doing business and marketing online. You probably already know how to set up a blog and how to come up with content for that blog. On the other hand there is quite a bit more to the story than merely posting because you have to work on your blog. What you have to do is leverage tools and other types of interesting resources to add something to your blog. You can delve into many areas that have to do with having a user friendly blog, and that is just one aspect of what we are talking about.
Your blog needs to have an "About Me" page and you must keep that "About Me" page up to date. Letting this page get outdated is embarrassing–really embarrassing. Make sure that this page includes more than just a few interesting tidbits about yourself. This is your chance to talk about your experiences and how those experiences will help you serve your readers well. It can be long or short, just make sure that it is entertaining and informative and-as we’ve already said-up to date.
If the most recent thing on the About Me page happened four years ago, nobody is going to want to read you.
Clarify who is really perusing your blog. Send out a survey each year or so for your readers and request that they fill them out for you (your responses will be better if you offer them a free item for doing so). Ask them their basic demographic data. Ask them which posts they liked the best, what they would like to see more of in the future, whether or not they have any areas in which they think you should improve. Take the responses to these surveys seriously-especially if you see the same answers happening again and again. Apply them to your blog accordingly.
You can post as much as you want, and some people say to do it every day for at least the first three months. People are busy and read a lot of blogs; so posting a few times a week should be sufficient. The optimal time to post is when you feel like it, and some say to make a schedule and that is fine. This way your readers will know what to expect from you and it will prove that you are reliable and can be counted on. What’s more, it helps give you structure and something to work on as you work to improve the other parts of your business.
Blogging doesn’t just consist of adding new PLR materials on a daily basis. On a recurring basis, you should be taking a look at your ambitions and reviewing your current circumstances. It is essential to keep a log of your designs, your readers, etc. Taking a look at these types of things often will allow you to ensure that your blog is always upfront and it also helps you to continue boosting your profit margins.
